Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, held talks with Jimmy Khoo, CEO of SP PowerGrid Limited, on the sidelines of the 24th Conference on the Electric Power Supply Industry & Exhibition which was held in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province.
During the talks, Zou and Jimmy had discussions?on strengthening the construction of energy and power infrastructure and market development, and promoting?the green transformation and sustainable development of related industries.
Peng Yong, Vice President of China Datang,?and executives of relevant departments and enterprises from both sides, were also present at the meeting.

Zou first welcomed Jimmy’s visit to China for?negotiations with China Datang?for cooperation, and then introduced?China Datang’s business development and international investment layout.
As a large scale state-owned energy enterprise, China Datang's main businesses cover power generation, coal and coal chemical industry, finance, environmental protection, trade and logistics, and emerging industries, Zou said, adding that currently, China Datang is actively promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of the?power industry, striving to become a world-class energy supplier featuring green and low-carbon development, energy diversification, efficient coordination, and digital intelligence.?
Noting that SP?Group, as a leading energy utility group and low-carbon new energy investment and service provider in the Asia-Pacific region, has significant advantages in investment operation, urban power supply, and district cooling and heating, Zou said that?China Datang can learn from and draw on their experience.
Zou hoped that the?collaboration and exchange this time will?provide an opportunity for both sides to leverage their strengths in the power industry, cooling and heating technologies, and comprehensive energy services. Building on China Datang’s?current cooperation in new energy and comprehensive energy?services, China Datang looks forward to deepening its partnership?with SP Group, complementing each other's capabilities, and advancing?the implementation of existing collaborative projects, according to the chairman.
Both sides need to enhance cooperation in clean energy, smart energy,?integration of "source-grid-load-storage,"?hydrogen energy,?and?carbon trading, and work together?to?tap into the market?under the Belt and Road?Initiative to promote the green transformation and high-quality development of the energy and power sector, Zou said.
For Jimmy’s part, he first extended congratulations to China Datang for its remarkable business development.
SP Group leverages its three major advantageous businesses in district cooling and heating supply, renewable energy development, and integrated energy management to continuously expand and establish a presence in the Chinese market, Jimmy noted.
Calling China Datang one of the leading enterprises in China's energy and power industry, Jimmy said that China Datang possesses comprehensive strength and investment capabilities. Against the backdrop of the "dual carbon" target, there are abundant prospects and numerous opportunities for collaboration between both sides in the energy sector.
Jimmy expressed his hope to engage in deep cooperation with China Datang in areas such as district cooling and heating supply, renewable energy development, integrated energy services, and the realization of clean energy substitution. He also called on both sides to actively implement existing cooperative projects and work together to drive the transformation and development of clean and low-carbon energy.
